There are a number of people in this world – some sane, some insane, some happy, some always melancholy, some who like people and some who are misanthropists. There are men who like women, and there are women who like men. In addition, there are men who like men and certain women like women. Just as there are different people in this world, there are those who have slightly different preferences as well. People who have a slightly different sexual preference are often referred to by several terms – freaks, weirdos and numerous other such titles, which would perhaps sound funny to those who are giving those labels. However, those who are labeled like this, feel the stinging, the pain and the ridicule. And all this, simply because they have a choice, that is different from the rest of the world. Today, lesbian romance books are available much more easily and freely, as opposed to a time about a few decades back. This has been the consequence of a revolution that was directed by those who practiced homosexuality with pride. These crusaders have ensured that they get their voice out there, for others to hear, primarily because theirs is also a voice, which deserved to be heard. Quite often, real lesbian videos are viewed from the perception that they are the closest to porn, which would probably explain why there is such a social stigma associated with it, with homosexuality. However, many filmmakers, in the past few years, have made strong attempts to show that lesbian and gay romance is just as normal and passionate. Pick up a copy of The World Unseen DVD and you will get to see just how romantic and sensual the love between two women can be. The movie traces the start and growth of love between two women, in a time, when such a relationship was something people could not even think about. With successful actors like Lisa Ray offering their talent to such subjects, there is a chance that more people would be willing to open up their minds. It is necessary that people looked at lesbian romance books and movies in a new light – a light that sets it apart from the way it has been viewed for so long. It is time that people accepted that homosexuality is not a disease, rather just a state of mind. A woman being in love with another woman is just as natural as a woman loving a man is.
